The Boeing Company is the leading American aircraft and aerospace manufacturer, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, with its largest production facilities in Everett, Washington, about 30 miles north of Seattle, Washington. It is also the second-largest defense contractor in the world, the second-largest civil aircraft manufacturer, after Airbus, and the largest exporter in the United States.
